Sometimes we forget ourselves and become a hypothetical, but we are not allowed, even for a moment. We are the heirs of Emerson, Hesse, Nietzsche, and Pasolini, an orphan of the emotional turmoil of an ancient and gentle beauty that has no place in our day.
